La Fiorentina

La Fiorentina
Arancine

La Fiorentina in Punta Gorda is truly a gem and well worth the trip if you want a special meal. It is so popular that we highly recommend making reservations. On the night we arrived, the parking lot was full but we were lucky to only have a short wait.

La Fiorentina is an Italian Steakhouse that is known for its Porterhouse. It is locally owned by Sue and Nick Randall who also own the Village Fish Market in Fishermen’s Village. The décor is stunning and adds a wonderful ambiance in which to have a great meal. It is warm and cozy and made really anticipate what we hoped would be a great meal.

Linguine with Clam Sauce

We started with the Arancine ($10) the rice balls with cheese and pepperoni. My dining partner started with the garlic bread. As we both love garlic, we felt it could of use just a bit more garlic. My dining partner had the Chicken Marsala without mushrooms ($18) and I had the Linguine with Clam Sauce ($19) Everything was cooked to perfection, extremely flavorful and good portion size. Our meals were served hot so we can tell they are cooked to order. It was truly a wonderful meal. For dessert we shared the best tiramisu we have had in a long time. If their Italian food was this good, we can only imagine what their steaks are like.

The service starting with the host to our server were top notch.  They were professional, timely and attentive. Our server was able to answer all our questions, was very personable and took time with all her tables. We never felt rushed or that we were keep her from other tasks.
